Terms of Service

The baseline terms for access to Lawie software and services.

Effective 2026-07-14 · Owner: Legal and Privacy

Contract-specific order forms and executed agreements prevail.

Scope and agreement

These terms apply when an individual or organization accesses Lawie unless an executed agreement or order form states otherwise. The customer must ensure that its users are authorized and comply with these terms.

The contracting legal entity, commercial plan, service term, fees, approved regions, and any service-level commitment must be identified in the applicable order form. Lawie Labs is a product and trading name and is not a substitute for that contracting information.

License and customer responsibilities

  • Lawie grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use subscribed services during the service term.
  • Customers are responsible for account security, lawful instructions, permissions to upload or connect data, user configuration, and human review of consequential output.
  • Customers may not resell, reverse engineer, bypass access controls or usage limits, probe other tenants, or use the service unlawfully.

AI and professional judgment

Lawie provides research, analysis, drafting, workflow, and evidence-assistance capabilities. Outputs can be incomplete or incorrect and do not replace legal, financial, compliance, or other professional advice. Users remain responsible for verifying sources and approving consequential actions.

Data, confidentiality, and security

Each party retains its rights in its pre-existing material. The customer retains its rights in customer data. Lawie may process customer data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the contracted service as permitted by the agreement and applicable law.

Confidentiality, data-processing, retention, security, export, and deletion obligations are governed by the executed agreement, DPA, and documented tenant configuration.

Availability, suspension, and termination

Service levels apply only when expressly included in an executed agreement. Lawie may suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, address unlawful use, protect service integrity, or comply with law. At termination, access and data return or deletion follow the agreement and retention policy.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, services are provided without implied warranties beyond those expressly stated in an executed agreement. Liability limits, exclusions, governing law, dispute process, and notices must be set in that agreement or order form; this public summary does not invent missing contracting terms.
